Milton Track& Field Teams Finish 4th & 6th
at Fulton County Schools Championships!

Three Milton HS County Champions!

Boys Team – 4th Place Team Finish!
Milton (4th-72 pts) used a well-rounded team of runners/jumpers/throwers to defeat 9 scoring schools. Leading the way were newly crowned County Champions of senior Jack Petkash in the 1600m run (1st-4:27.81) by using a last-lap kick to pass three competitors in the final 100 meters for the race win along with fellow senior Hayden Marshall, who won the 3200m run (1st-9:41.45) is dominating fashion by leading most of the race and pulling away late to secure a 5-second victory. Both Jack (800m-4th) & Hayden (1600m-5th) scored in 2 events. The boy’s 4×800m relay team (senior Connor Brunson, sophomore Cory Chambers, junior Davis Hobbs & junior Dylan Bowden) secured a runner-up finish for Milton (2nd-8:23.25) just behind Roswell to help lead the Eagles to a 4th place team finish. Devin Dahunsi moves to #4 all-time in the triple jump with his 43’-2" leap that took 4th place!

Girls Team – 6th Place Team Finish!
The Lady Eagles (6th-41 pts) outscored 8 teams to finish & secure one of their best team finishes at this meet in many years. Leading the way and the only individual race/event win came from the 4×800m relay team. Junior Megan Stechschulte, freshman Leelah Dennis & sophomores Annalise Crow & Farrah Frith ran to a 10-second season’s best time (1st-10:13.64) and the 12th best-ever school performance in beating 5 other teams. Frith came back later in the meet to secure Milton’s only runner-up finish of the meet in the 3200m run (2nd-12:09.97) to lead the Lady Eagles for any individual finishes at the championships. A new top-10 all-time performance was turned in by the girls 4×400m relay (5th-4:11.59) with the 6th best performance in school history. The team of Sydney Timpson, Kennedy Daniels, Kennedy Nizdil & Jade Sutters continue to improve as the season moves towards region and sectional meets after spring break.

New Top Ten Report as of 4/10/21

The Top Ten Report reflects the following new updates from the Woodstock Distance Carnival:
Senior Hayden Marshall moves up to #3 for the 5000m (2nd place in 15:18.93)
Junior Dylan Bowden comes in at #9 for the 5000m (5th place in 16:38.17).

The Top Ten Report reflects the following new updates from the GA Spring Break Showdown at Marietta HS:
Senior Lorin Tady comes in at #4 for the 2000m Steeplechase (6th place in 6:52.77)
Senior Jack Petkash moves up to #4 in the 1600m (was 7th) (6th place in 4:17.94)
Jeffrey Williams comes in at #7 in the Shot Put (7th place at 45’-7.5")
Kennedy Nizdil comes in at #10 in the 200m (24th place in 26.88)

Updated Milton Top 10 List

Following the Roswell Relays, we have another updated Milton Top 10 List!

Milton Track and Field athletes competed in the Roswell Rotary Relays on 3/20/21 with a strong performance. The Boys Team finished in 2nd Place and the Girls finished in 8th Place. The Combined Milton Team finished 5th out of 10 teams competing. Congratulations to our athletes for a great meet!

The Coaches are pleased to share the following new or updated additions to the Milton Top-10 All-Time Lists after the Roswell Rotary Relays:
