Milton Track& Field Teams Finish 4th & 6th
at Fulton County Schools Championships!

Meet at Westlake HS Yields
Three Milton HS County Champions!

Boys Team – 4th Place Team Finish!
Milton (4th-72 pts) used a well-rounded team of runners/jumpers/throwers to defeat 9 scoring schools. Leading the way were newly crowned County Champions of senior Jack Petkash in the 1600m run (1st-4:27.81) by using a last-lap kick to pass three competitors in the final 100 meters for the race win along with fellow senior Hayden Marshall, who won the 3200m run (1st-9:41.45) is dominating fashion by leading most of the race and pulling away late to secure a 5-second victory. Both Jack (800m-4th) & Hayden (1600m-5th) scored in 2 events. The boy’s 4×800m relay team (senior Connor Brunson, sophomore Cory Chambers, junior Davis Hobbs & junior Dylan Bowden) secured a runner-up finish for Milton (2nd-8:23.25) just behind Roswell to help lead the Eagles to a 4th place team finish. Devin Dahunsi moves to #4 all-time in the triple jump with his 43’-2" leap that took 4th place!

Girls Team – 6th Place Team Finish!
The Lady Eagles (6th-41 pts) outscored 8 teams to finish & secure one of their best team finishes at this meet in many years. Leading the way and the only individual race/event win came from the 4×800m relay team. Junior Megan Stechschulte, freshman Leelah Dennis & sophomores Annalise Crow & Farrah Frith ran to a 10-second season’s best time (1st-10:13.64) and the 12th best-ever school performance in beating 5 other teams. Frith came back later in the meet to secure Milton’s only runner-up finish of the meet in the 3200m run (2nd-12:09.97) to lead the Lady Eagles for any individual finishes at the championships. A new top-10 all-time performance was turned in by the girls 4×400m relay (5th-4:11.59) with the 6th best performance in school history. The team of Sydney Timpson, Kennedy Daniels, Kennedy Nizdil & Jade Sutters continue to improve as the season moves towards region and sectional meets after spring break.
